SAN FRANCISCO — A Russian man has been convicted of hacking into three Bay Area tech firms, United States Legal professional David Anderson introduced Friday.
Yevgeniy Nikulin, 32, was convicted by a federal jury for hacking into LinkedIn, DropBox and the social networking firm previously referred to as Formspring.
The jury discovered Nikulin hacked into computer systems belonging to the three firms.
He put in malware on computer systems belonging to LinkedIn and Formspring and stole the usernames and passwords of staff at thecompanies. He additionally offered and conspired to promote knowledge he stole because of this of the hacks.
