SANTA ANA — A high-speed pursuit of a suspected drunken driver in a full-size pickup truck that traveled alongside at the very least two Orange County freeways ended Tuesday evening with the motive force surrendering to authorities in Santa Ana.
Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle name in a car parking zone within the 5700 block of La Palma Avenue, simply east of Imperial Freeway, about 9:20 p.m., and the motive force rammed into at the very least one of the officers’ autos, then fled, prompting the pursuit, in accordance with the Anaheim Police Division.
The suspect drove at speeds principally within the 80s and briefly topped 100 mph whereas touring on the southbound Orange (57) Freeway and eastbound and the westbound Backyard Grove (22) Freeway.
