ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Police say they’ve cleaned up greater than a dozen homeless camps that had popped up alongside freeways in Rocklin.
The clean-up got here after a virtually month-long effort by police to succeed in out to homeless individuals who had began tenting within the greenbelt space between China Backyard Highway and the Interstate 80/Freeway 65 interchange.
Rocklin police say, three weeks in the past, officers from their Homeless Outreach Group canvassed the world to attach the homeless and to county sources.
Per week later, officers labored with the personal property homeowners alongside the greenbelt to mark unlawful camps for removing. Any individuals nonetheless within the space had been warned about trespassing.
Lastly, on Friday, a personal cleanup firm and officers went out to clear the camps.
In complete, police say 18 camps had been eliminated.
